SEO, Patients, Homestead, What do they have in common?

January 24, 2009

If your just starting out, you may not be familiar with the term SEO. Many Homestead users are new to the website building world. The abbreviation stands for search engine optimization. This is the process of arranging various elements on and off your web site pages so that Google, Yahoo and MSN like your site enough to place you on the first couple of results pages.

Your probably wondering why I have included the term “Patients” in the title along with “SEO” and “Homestead,” let me explain what these terms have in common. Once you learn how to arrange these various elements that I am talking about and implement them on your pages, you have to be patient with Google and the other search engines. Getting free traffic to increase to your site is largely dependent upon what Google does with all of the things that are related to your pages. I am speaking as the voice of experience because I have literally seen my website traffic many times increase by 30% because Google changed something in their system as I continually optimized my pages over time.

Here’s how it works with SEO, Homestead Website building and patients.

Learn search engine optimization for the site builder by purchasing the SEO Extreme Video series. It teaches you how to arrange things on and off of your web site pages so that Google will like you enough to give you better placements.

Now be patient, the results do not always appear instantly. First Google has to spider your website. Until they do this, you will not appear in the search engine results pages. As you continue, over the course of several months, to implement the various techniques that you learned in the video series, you will begin to notice changes as you study your statistics. Then, suddenly one day the statistics will show a dramatic increase in traffic to your pages. Just this past month one of my websites went from having thirty visitors a day to ninety per day. I also had  traffic increase from having sixty visitors a day to over a hundred a day on one single  page.

  • Tip: Increase in traffic build over time as you continue to make adjustments, add and tweak things that are related you your site.

So, if you’re a SiteBuilder beginner, learn SEO, implement the techniques and then just be patient through your continued optimization efforts. If you don’t start out with a huge bang in the search engine results eventually things will get better, just be patient.

How Long Does It take To Learn Website Optimization

January 7, 2009

jordy-1It doesn’t really take long to learn the basics of website optimization. However, it may take a considerable amount of time to rank high for keywords in your niche. The art of optimization is an ongoing learning experience because the search engines are constantly changing the combination of  elements that cause pages to rank high.  Depending upon how much competition there is in a particular niche, you may or may not rank high for certain keywords or phrases right away. You can usually tell, rather  quickly,  if there is a ton of competition in the niche you are considering to launch into on the Internet.  By doing a Google search,  using some popular phrases in your niche, you can get a good idea of how many websites you will be competing with.  If there are a lot of websites with your keywords in the main domain name,  chances are good that you will get lost in a huge sea of pages on the Internet.

Although learning the methods behind website optimization do not take long to grasp,  the top SEO companies recommend that any pages that you are trying to rank well for should be published no less than six months in advance.  As an example, if your focusing on  a keyword phrase related to Christmas,  you should plan on publishing your page in May or June.  You will then have to focus on that page and its keyword phrases for the next six months by doing things that will gradually push it upwards in the search engine results pages.

Getting high rankings is a process that may take time depending on the level of competition.  Learning the basic  techniques related to optimizing a website does not take a long time. However, the process of optimization does require time.

IF there’s little or no competition in your niche then your chances are good at ranking in the top ten. If there are several websites focusing on related keywords then it will take time to get top placements.

To learn website Optimization for a Homestead website the SEO Extreme video series was recorded inside of the SiteBuilder program. The series gives step by step methods that will help you get better ranking with search engine placement.

If you build it they will come, not true. Your website must be built properly.

So what do SEO and Homestead website design have in common? If your a beginner at using the SiteBuilder program,  from the Intuit company,  you need to understand something, you must study SEO or search engine optimization.

  • Tip: Study how to optimize your website before you build it.

Don’t just study any information about the subject of search engine Optimization. Get the SEO Extreme Video Series designed for Homestead Users.

I know it’s thrilling to be creative and build a website with the awesome tools that Homestead has in the SiteBuilder but,  without studying how to do things properly,  your site will fail. It does not matter how wonderful your design looks, your site will not have free traffic without you implementing proper website optimization techniques.

Yes, I said fail! I speak   as one of many voices of wisdom who will tell you that if you do not do certain things correctly,  your website pages will only be seen by a few visitors.

So, what does SEO have to do with your website design? How about everything.

  • Tip: Proper optimization of your websites pages actually begins with how you save your file names and includes the way your titles, meta descriptions, keywords, links and content complement one another.

You cannot just pick a template and add some content to your pages and get traffic. Don’t be deceived.

It is going to be necessary for you to learn exactly what the search engines like and what they don’t.  Search engines will be responsible for sending loads of traffic your way. If they don’t like the way you have arranged things on the Internet, they will pass you by.

This is what I am going to suggest, the SEO Extreme Video Series was recorded inside the the SiteBuilder program and will give you step by step demonstrations of how all of your pages should be constructed in order for the search engines to like what your doing.

I’ve consulted with many Homestead website users about how they need to construct their site in relation to good SEO practices. Please save yourself  a lot of headaches by learning how to optimize your website before you build it.
